This is actually the worst movie I've ever seen. It starts off with animated robot scorpions fighting for some reason. Then there's a bank robbery, where all the robbers are dressed like Elvis. Most of them die, unfortunately 2 live, so the movie continues.
There's a romantic sub plot between Rusell and Cox, who plays a single mom that keeps abandoning her kid.
Then some driving, then Ice-T shows up and tries to shot people with 2 guns, while spinning upside down on a chain. Surprisingl

Potentially clever idea degenerates into an overlong, bloody (and bloody awful) bore. All the violence is mindless; all the plot developments are brainless.

"Saddled by a lame-duck director, this could have been a guilty pleasure classic, but Russell's return to the Elvis fold (he played the King in John Carpenter's excellent biopic) won't leave you all shook up."

A good tounge-in-cheek, fantasy robbery film.

Entertaining for the first fourth or so, but the movie feels long and dull after about half an hour which is pretty bad.

Any movie with David Arquette and Christian Slater is off to a bad start. I think the movie would have been more interesting if the entire thing was the CGI Scorpions fighting in the beginning.

The best movie of Kevin Costner. Apart from that it could've been a lot better, without the phony acting of Courtney Cox and fucking lame romance scenes. Either you got to do it like True Romance or not do it at all. Those stupid, bad guy turns out to be a dad when he sees a woman crying (or can't control his dick), scenes really ruins the movie. AND this movie deserved a better soundtrack. Seriously man, it is Elvis. I would love to see a Tarantino or Guy Ritchie version.

Kurt Russell does his best, but Costner just doesn't work at all, and none of anything Cox does makes any sense, the kid is (of course) annoying, Slater and Arquette are bad at everything, Ice-T and Howie Long look out of place, and on and on.

There's nothing more frustrating than a movie you really want to like that does everything in its power to make you hate it. I dig the hell out of a lot of parts of the film (especially the action scenes and Kevin Costner playing a complete douchebag), but then you got Kurt Russell and Charisma Carpenter having themselves a big ole romcommy time - all in the middle of an R-Rated heist action flick. The second act is completely forgettable. First and third act are in parts kinda really good.

Well, the idea (plot) of this film is great but how it came out, is not. I rather liked this Elvis-theme and how it was followed throughout the movie. Crime scenes were executed very badly and can't even remember them.

A complete misfire, but not a completely uninteresting one - the idea of Costner and Russell basically swapping their expected roles is a good one, and it has an (admirably?) savage tone to the violence and action, but then too often tries too hard to be likable; Costner seems to be reprising A PERFECT WORLD, when he needed to be far colder and more savage - it's also unclear how "hardened" Cox's character is supposed to be, with her motives and attitude changing from scene to scene.

Russell and Costner as Elvis impersonating criminals. What could have possibly gone wrong? The action is good, but there isn't enough of it, and the Cox/kid road movie segment is devoid of interest, stalling momentum. Lichtenstein is largely to blame. His style is basically a second rate hybrid of Stone and (Tony) Scott, and some of the montage scenes are quite poor, obscuring action in the foreground. The leads make it watchable, especially Costner in a rare villain role.

I actually admire the film for how over-the-top and reckless it carries itself. It's layered with a lot of slow time, but when the action's going, it's a fun star-filled ride.

A bloody picture with high style & several good lines. Moves pretty well with some nice explosions and a typical story/romance. Kevin "Can't Act" chooses a role where he just has to look cool & shoot stuff up, so he comes off pretty well. A decent ride.
