For a while, it's a serviceable entry in the stalker thriller tradition of Cape Fear and Caché, hampered mainly by the obnoxiousness of the protagonist. By some point the cliches are piling up and you know the ending will be trite, and indeed it is. "Entrance" was released a year later (2012) proving that it is perfectly possible to make an excellent stalker thriller when the authors model it after real life rather than prior movies.
