42nd Street: The Musical

Not sure I could tell you what the story is or what happens in much detail but its certainly entertaining, with some catchy tunes. Lots of songs that are easy enough to sing or hum along to, like 'I only have eyes for you' and 'Keep Young & Beautiful' (cringe at the message that sends women but whatever). The choreography is undoubtedly decent and its an entertaining, fun show to keep you entertained if your a musical fan, for the roughly 2 and a half hour runtime. Not esp. brilliant, not awful.

Bad: Story kinda dumb. None of the songs stick when heard without the visuals. Bill's character was a fucking waste of time. Good: It did keep me entertained throughout, because dang! Those sets! And dancers! And some pretty okay lines. I just wish I had the faintest idea what the play-within-a-play was actually about.
