This movie would be endearing if anyone actually cared about the main character. This womanizer's life is turned around after he meets the perfect girl played by the beautiful Natalie Morales. I found myself hoping that this guy would not get the girl. Poor Martin Starr does such a good job playing a sad man. He did it in Adventureland and he's doing it again. I was glad to see how his story arc ends. I just wish the writers made Weaver's character more lovable so we could cheer him on at least.

"The film is far too indulgent with its lead character to do more than hint at the ways that one form of male egotism can morph into another." - Andrew Schenker

If Criticker is to be believed, writer/director/actor Blayne Weaver (what is the opposite of triple threat?) has just one post-2012 credit, the year "6 Month Rule" was released. I'm not saying there's a direct correlation between this factoid and the quality of his movie, but I have my suspicions. So weird to see Martin Starr, genuinely funny and talented, reduced to playing the underdeveloped straight man for a performer whose comedic skills are, to be charitable, lacking.
