It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's too straight forward and lacks any sort of real intrigue, development, or depth to make it really stand out. Entertaining enough while watching it, but forgettable.

Like a product of AI, this film is a mashup of familiar plot-lines jammed together into an incongruous sci-fi & action genre hybrid that plays out in a fairly predictable & derivative manner. No individual aspect is truly that terrible, yet it only manages to excel in forgettable mediocrity. It's a paint by numbers creation providing intermittent moments of deja vu from better works. The emotional aspects feel more like the faded echos of something only distantly human. A waste of Adam Driver.

This is such a confused movie. It doesn't know what it wants to be and then it proceeds to faceplant in all the categories it's trying to include itself in. Boring action, bland characters, weirdest dinosaur design, not much of a plot either except "walking and meeting some dinosaurs which all want to kill you for whatever reason". The flashbacks and the 'sweet and funny' moments were so awkard and cringeworthy.

Another one of those 90s blockbusters that time slipped into today only to die at the box office. Fine whatever filmmaking we need to re-embrace.

Look, they accomplished exactly what they set out to accomplish with this. Thank goodness some filmmakers are still silly, right? This would make a great double header with Outlander (2008) starring Jim Caviezel. What the CUSS were those fat free dinosaurs tho.

Felt like a waste of time before, during, and after watching, but unfortunately, I can’t let a movie with both Adam Driver *and* dinosaurs in it go unwatched.

A thin and weak film that fails to create or expand on any interesting idea over the course of an hour and a half.

The premise has been done to death but when the trailers showed it was dinosaurs I was like "meh." The idea that there was intelligent life elsewhere at this time period is fine, but not enough to drive a movie by itself. Driver breathes heavily and grunts his way through a very predictable and, frankly, uninspired sci-fi action flick that hits all the beats you'd expect from it narratively and emotionally, while not being OFFENSIVELY bad.

Just entirely forgettable, which is kind of a shame since you don’t get a lot of actors of Drivers fame partaking in these non IP based action films anymore. Everything from how it looks, the title and to the poster just screams made for streaming mush

65 is After Earth meets Jurassic Park. The film isn't as horrendous as its reputation suggests but a sparse script, comically aggressive ill-designed dinosaurs, and an overabundance of scenes (particularly action) in the dark make for a disappointing watch. Protagonist in a survival situation that has to protect child that act as a surrogate for their own deceased one... it's been done better before.

65 has the elements and premise of a high potential Sc-Fi adventure, especially with the people behind the camera. Unfortunately it’s way too simple and slow to really generate interesting sequences, and its characters aren’t strong enough to carry the limited action that is presented. Even in it’s 93 minute runtime, it feels too long because there just isn’t a lot to do, and that’s strange to say with the materials they laid out. It’s visually stunning, but it looks aren’t everything.

It's just middling. Adam Driver tries his best but he feels like he's from a different film. I give a lot of room for a film to set-up it's plot, but "ship can't react to meteors dead ahead" just took me out of it.

Aggressively forgettable. Love to see these short, mid budget action films but this just doesn't have anything new. Driver is fun to watch as he gets beat up for the entire runtime, but it isn't enough.

I for one thought this was made by M. Night Shyamalan. The subpar storytelling, the world building and the vibe are very similar to Will Smith's After Earth.

I didn't dislike it like everyone else did. It's definitely a cheesy movie, but it's a fun watch with chill cinematography and a relaxing soundtrack. The actors carry it, but it can't be a good movie due to how silly the concept is. Oh well.

I enjoyed it for its simplicity. Nothing is convoluted in this film. The story is simple, the characters are simple, the action is simple, and the dialogue is simple. This is a genre film that knows it's a genre film and isn't trying to deconstruct itself or reinvent the wheel. Just two people trying to survive on a planet with dinosaurs. However, the film does not justify its budget and the question is, were the CGI dinosaurs ultimately worth it?

Adam Driver crashes his spaceship into prehistoric earth and has to survive on a dinosaur infested world. It's a simple setup that allows the movie to bounce from one action set piece to the next, and although the film isn't particularly memorable, it's engaging enough throughout to entertain. A decently enjoyable way to pass 90 minutes, no more, no less.

Some cool dinosaur fights, and actually maybe somewhat realistic plot development. However, completely unbelievable, ham-fisted, non-sensical character development. Somewhat of a waste of a good concept between the characters. If you want a random dinosaur movie, then this could help scratch that itch if expectations are tempered.

After loving A Quiet Place and Haunt, I was open to anything from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Add Adam Driver, and it’s almost a guaranteed success. I didn’t find this to be as bad as the reviews said, nor as good as I’d hoped. It really is just After Earth with Dinosaurs. There’s a very small cast, which doesn’t allow for any interesting dialogue, or even tension, since there’s no room to kill of its characters in the first two acts. I did like the geyser scene. Overall it’s not bad, just fine.

Two-person universes are *tough* to pull off, and I can't say that this is the best example of it. It feels rushed in the early going, I feel like the story and screenplay leave something to be desired (even though I enjoyed what the movie explored when it came to communication), and one of the climactic ending scenes risked tossing the whole thing off the rails. But Adam Driver is MA BOY and after waiting an extra year, I can still say I enjoyed myself while accepting that I hoped for more.

A movie that’s constantly stuck. Stuck in its own metalogics where it’s nearly impossible for the stakes to go anywhere because you know Driver and more obviously a kid are not gonna die. Stuck from its own script in that they chose the only two characters to not speak the same language and stuck between what exactly it wants to be. Whether it wants to be this huge dinosaur action spectacle or this more restrained end of the world/ father-daughter thing and pulls off neither.

It should have been a banger with such a cool, tight survivalist concept, but it barely works as a Driver vehicle or a mid blockbuster. Now just try to imagine how superb this would've been if it was directed by PWSA.

Eh, not really all that awful. I really like the found family/reluctant mentor trope and I felt the dynamic between the man and the girl worked just fine. I understood why they behaved as they did, their characters being reasonably well developed. One could argue the sci-fi bit was a tad underdeveloped, but I'm always more invested in the characters rather than the setting.

I enjoyed watching it! Very much! Therefore, 85. A captivating adventure, although the story is lame, and a lot didn't make sense, it even had moments of stupidity. All set aside, it's a universe you can immerse yourself in. For 1½ hours, you can experience what it might have been like to walk around on Earth 65 million years ago (and witness a milestone event) . Superb atmosphere. If you are tired of thinking, and just want to experience, lean back and enjoy.

This is a satisfying Sci-Fi crash landing on an "alien" planet survival movie. Adam Driver did not disappoint. The 16 yr. old Ariana Greenblatt did a good job too. The story is exciting. The CGI is very good. Excellent music and soundtrack. The plot was a bit convenient at times. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the pacing is good overall. This is not one I will watch again, but it was worth while and entertaining.

It wasn't terrible, but with so few characters, the bond between the two main characters should have been more developed than it was, which leads to the film's emotional scenes feeling a little bit detached. The visuals are very strong and I liked how gritty and brutal some of the dinosaur attacks were. It's a strong premise that unfortunately is underserved by its script in the end.

While the unique approach to the dinosaur movie genre and eye-catching visual effects are commendable, the lack of character development and missed opportunities for dramatic irony prevent the film from being anything beyond a simple, sci-fi survival adventure featuring dinosaurs.

I'm really not sure what makes this movie so dislikable to so many people. It's not earth-shattering, but it's fine. Good, even. It follows a simple story arc that's tried and true, and I guess in art, people don't want to admit that there's nothing wrong with that. CGI looked good, cool gadgets looked cool. The gradual reveal of the daughter's full story was well-done, I think. Truly? I would merrily watch a sequel to find out what becomes of them.

Glad I waited for this to be available on Netflix instead of paying for a movie ticket. The movie is serviceable and Driver does a good job but honestly the CGI is pretty bad, the actual use of the dinosaurs was underdone and the story probably would have been more fascinating with it just being him. Tonal shifts don't do the movie any favors. I'll give them credit for a decent end credits sequence, but Gangs of New York did it better.

If it was renamed "Dinos & Guns" it'd have done and would do a lot better at the box office. A minimalist mostly two character SciFi thriller. It was decent. Nothing groundbreaking but worthy of a rainy Sunday afternoon at the movie theater. 6.3 for me.

I expected dumb fun, I got stuck with dumb. I guess the nicest thing you can say about this mess is that it's got more dino action than the last Jurassic World movie, but that's a low bar to clear. Nobody involved with this had any ideas whatsoever beyond a Martini-soaked cocktail napkin where a studio head scribbled "What if the Martian but with T Rexes?"
