Pike, little girl's mother, is released from prison. She has had a troubled past and her future is uncertain. Pike has decided to start a new life and can no longer afford to make mistakes. Returning from abroad, a former boyfriend Lalli messes up Pike's plans. Lalli brings passion, but also opens a window into the past, to which Pike no longer want to go back. Jessica Grabowsky (from tv's "Thicker Than Water") is exceptionally good in the lead role of this dark drama about a young single mother who gets out of prison and tries not to fall back into her past life of excess, drugs and crime. It's a well-written role which gives her a whole bunch of emotional extremes to portray. While the plot is quite formulaic and the supporting characters drift in and out of focus, it's still a sexy, well-directed film, and worth seeing for a real star performance.
