Sweet, funny, and melancholy - an effective distillation of the Peanuts comic strip. Lucy might be the biggest bitch in history.

There's a warm nostalgia to this movie and all of the classic Peanuts stuff that makes me feel really great inside, but the message of it all is absolutely timeless. Plus, I love both the characters and the brilliant animation style, which looks simply incredible here.

Another great episode full of existential-agony of one poor sad boy and philosophical maturity of another wise boy... After all, they are Charlie Brown and Linus...

BlurayRip R.A.R.B.G.

The wonderful thing about Charlie Brown is that he resembles a lot of hopeless people with a lack of confidence out there, and I've definitely been in these similar situations many times. This makes A Boy Named Charlie Brown that more special, because on top of its colorful animation, funny writing, original sound effects, and charming soundtrack, its story aims to make our hero relatable to as many of us as possible and provide a little hope for us in the most downer situations.

A Boy Named Charlie Brown. If you've never read much of the Peanuts comic strip, you probably don't truly understand it. With some child-friendly cadences, Charles Schulz created a family comic strip that at its heart struggled with existentialist themes where kids are lost in their own mortality and only have faith with reason. Which of course, isn't truly faith at all and what leads to morality stories where the kids discover this. This movie is the only Peanuts animation to capture that.
