Try-hard 1930s musical comedy plot that just flails around aimlessly for large chunks. There are some good laughs and some ok music in spots, but mostly it's a tiresome experience.

Portuguese comedy! With super porky Vasco Santana! And a set of other easy to get characters, like his girl with the Louise Brooks hairdo - Beatriz Costa! And two stubby aunts supporting him. However Santana is a big lier and has to try and fool the old hags that he's a doctor, which he is not. So comes a bunch of funny scenarios with the heavy Santana being a true character who could slap anyone for not helping him mooch through life. Much better then feared even if it's a very loose comedy!
