It appears that a bunch of friends chipped in to finance this turkey... poor suckers. Bad acting, bad camera work, bad writing, bad editing--this movie has it all. Plus, Drayton looks like The Dude in The Big Lebowski. Sadly, the result is not hilarious--just dismal. But not as inherently offensive as, say, "Moulin Rouge" or "What Dreams May Come", hence the relatively high rating. Be sure to read the DIRECTOR'S "user review" at imdb! Apparently, it's the viewer's fault the movie is terrible.
