A Farewell to Arms

Interesting to see all the places that Hemingway describes so perfectly in the book (they filmed this on location throughout Europe), yet nothing about this film lives up to its original source material. Highly regrettable adaption.

I don't understand what people like about this movie. The story itself is okay but not very focused and the acting is alright but the whole thing is just of ridiculously over the top and melodramatic that it stops being entertaining. Also I really didn't like most of the dialogue especially that of Jennifer Jones which just made me angry.

I've never read the book and now I never want to, Jennifer Jones is kind of a crazy person in this movie, completely paranoid about Hudson's character getting bored of her. Somewhere along the way the movie got stupid, although, it may have began that way.
