A Game of Death

This version is fine, is rather unnecessary. Loder is not a very exciting lead, but Barrier is pretty good if nowhere near Leslie Banks' caliber. Really ... the film's greatest sin is being an okay remake of a masterpiece.

A Game of Death (1945) is the lesser known remake of The Most Dangerous Game (1932). No real addition to the grueling story, as it feels almost like a shot-by-shot remake. No real advancements, made clear by using some footage from the original movie. With that said, this is a experience that's just as chilling and exciting in it's updated format. Robert Wise handled it nicely, even if his creative hands was for the most part tied.
