This chronicle of two childhood friends looks at what we mean by love, commitment and loyalty. Perhaps most importantly, it re-examines the idea of family, and in doing so shows us its very essence and the ways in which that essence can be redefined. (Warner Independent Pictures)

It was good to see Colin Farrell as a subservient character for once... and the story of the character he plays is definately unfortunate/pity-inspiring...but it didn't do too much for me. See it once if you're interested in emotional dramas about family angst.

The relationships between the characters are poorly defined, so they do weird things that seem unmotivated and frustrating. The direction is pretty flat, too.

Suprisingly engrossing and odd, but unfortunately I never came to care about the guy playing opposite Colin Farrell.

Quiet, sweet little movie. Not quite a love story, really... more like a family story, and one that takes a more complex view of what "family" means than we're used to seeing in movies. One of the few films that actually seems to get better the more you think about it

Bad. It was off to a great, promising start but while gunning full steam through homo-eroticism and a bi-love triangle with a guy in the middle, it stumbled and ended up feeling like hallmark made for TV fodder. Even though Robin Wright Penn is great in it and Collin Farrell appears to be performing well until you realize he's just moving his overly hairy bushy eyebrows a bit different, there's not much to recommend a film that's afraid of what it is, a gay drama. Not recommended.

Another reason why Colin Farrell should not be taken lightly.

"A nice idea is, in broad terms, well handled, but the problems are in the presentation, and even the massively talented actors at work here can't overcome the theatricality of the script."

A great little character piece. loses a star for including a sub plot that I hoped they would avoid as its become cliche, won't say what it is here to avoid spoilers, and it needs an extra quarter hour. The young cast were fantastic and when Colin Farrell stepped in to the main characters shoes I was worried that the film was going to plummet. Initially my worries appeared to be confirmed, but he turns in a very nuanced performance. Great stuff. Same goes for the rest of the cast, but he wa

Disjointed, predictable, and cliche. Why must independent films always follow the same pattern? Colin Farrell's American accent was the best thing about this film...and if that doesn't tell you something, you probably deserve to lose the 90 minutes of your life this film will rob you of.

Bunch a newcomers in movie industry have done a decent film. The whole cast (specially Farrell) is really good. Moviemaking is a bit sloppy and movie feels short. But latter one is always a good sign. Recommended to watch.

For a film that intends to heavily rely on the conjured effects of nostalgia, A Home rarely gets its periods right. There's a lot of time missing from the narrative, as well, with massive jumps forward with little explanation. The film feels lost and everything seems written in shorthand. Wasted talents.

It has some heart and the performances are fine it's just so damn scattered that it's hard to take anyone seriously in this goofy little flick.

I'm not certain what they were going for when they made this film? Maybe a narrative on how beautiful the world would be if everyone was free of inhibitions? It came out to be like a hippie's sunday school story, which doesn't play well enough to hold me attention. I dropped off in the first fifteen minutes.
