Nice mountains. Bad writing. TERRIBLE dialogue. And truly idiotic toward the end.

It starts out pretty good, but it's a movie that's not sure of what it wants to be.

Kind of falls apart in the third act, and doesn't break any ground, but I'm a sucker for kidnapping stories. Also, the mountain climbing seems shoehorned in -- doesn't really add anything to the premise. Still, an effective thriller that keeps you entertained through its entire running time.

There is a lot to admire in this; the performances, the camerawork and the director's control over the tension of the action but unfortunately the adrenaline the film oozes does not extend until the ending. Overall, it's a very well made film but the finale lacks a killer instinct and becomes all too obvious.

I didn't expect something this good to be honest. But it offers a few unexpected twists and turns and never gets boring. And there are some really cringeworthy scenes.

Bizarre direction and some spotty acting detracts from an otherwise quite entertaining thriller.

I enjoyed the scenery.

The general opinon of this seems to be that it starts off strong and then falls flat around the third act. I, however, was bored shitless from the start, so you can probably imagine the suicidal state I was in by the time the credits started rolling. The scenery was nice though.

Watched this months ago. Nice-looking location and other-wise with a couple of pleasant surprises but mostly really daft. Seemed hampered by it's budget.

Mid section suffers because the two baddies are touting bolt action rifles. Needed more variety and needed a better finish for a few of the goodies.

Solid movie, well shot, with good acting. The filmmakers didn't shy away from violence and there were some genuine surprises in the plot direction intermixed with predictability. Melissa George was a great lead.

Pretty terrible movie. I watched this thinking it was going to be a horror movie. Had a couple funny bad moments which were the saving grace.

The main purpose of an ACT 1 is to engage the audience; to get them to care about the protagonists as their lives gradually (or in Robs case, not so gradually) descend into chaos, and LPtD does it beautifully. Great cinematography, super effects, and first rate tension make for a really nailbiting race for safety. Then they chuck in a load of characters that we care nothing about, and the directors get out the guide on "How to make a generic thriller" and it all ends up stupid and boring. Shame

Surprisingly good. I'm in it too. Didn't get a double credit though (or paid), the jerks.

Taut little thriller which manages to keep the tension up all the way through - the first 2 acts are real edge of the seat stuff.

Some ridiculous choices are made by some of the characters and a lot of it seems hard to believe, especially the last 3rd of the film. Wasn't on edge for a single second, maybe I'm just desensitized from all the horror I've watched in my life.

Well-directed but containing nothing particularly original, there's plenty going on in this one but most of it just has you rolling your eyes at the screen - most notably as the plot and character actions become increasingly ludicrous. Melissa George seems to be pulling off about five different accents at once, which is some effort.
