An old Hollywood history lesson! And in typical old Hollywood fashion, none of the facts are correct. So one would think that, unencumbered by actual facts, a livelier movie might have resulted. Still, a rather pleasant diversion, especially Walter Beery's scenes.

Not a very Latino looking cast for this Cuban based movie, which is one of it's several weaknesses. The story also moves way to slow for a espionage story. There are no highs. Just a drowsy story. One thing it does have is big Wallace Beery out in the jungle whacking crocodiles! But besides that nothing much to note. Barbara Stanwych does one of her weaker roles of her career as a not-so-believable Cuban lady and John Boles looks like a leading man, but doesn't bring any magnetism to his part.
