A story that's still relevant today. Sad.

A story that could and should have been engaging ends up in a two dimensional slow burn that neither excited or made me reflect.

Compelling (and at times harrowing) depiction of the final years of war correspondent Colvin is unfortunately hurt by a sometimes clunky, exposition-heavy screenplay; has a dry, antiseptic feel at times (perhaps inevitable given its portrait of a print journalist), where a little more drama might have been appreciated. Superbly performed, with Pike in a transformational performance; Dornan also scores strongly as her partner in the trenches.

A good movie that shows the life of a reporter. Though I appreciate everything she had gone through to get the story out, I did find the movie a bit on the boring side.

Somehow didn't gel or capture me. For such a fascinating character (extremely well acted by Pike) and a eventful life it somehow bored me & made me want to skip forward at several points --- Crazy busy ? - hope to fill in review (in detail) when have time. For now just score & maybe notes. Hope everyone is well & watching good stuff ?

A fine performance by Rosalind Pike and the story is gruelling and heart wrenching

An unexpectedly fantastic look at the toll war takes, not only on civilians, but on the journalists who cover it. Great performance by Pike, excellent script and direction.

1731: change the facts.

Take out all the Hollywood, and this film would have been fantastic and a genuine eye opener. Now, it's no more than a mediocre romanticizing biopic that has some thrilling scenes. Still really got through to me (Libya and Syria scenes).

Description of a post-traumatic syndrome.

No need to talk about the film quolity. The story is important. So important!
