superficial and fun

Charming and light. Good for the holidays.

Very lightweight, obviously doesn't really go any where. Doesn't offend and passes the time.

A fun but fanciful story made all the much better by the acting performances of Sarah Gadon and Bel Powley. This was a very cute royal romp through the celebrations of VE Day. Thanks to a gallant AWAL flyboy the evening was saved from what would have been a dreadful ending. I was quite surprised they rolled out so many dangerous and unsavory characters in this story. It was entertaining and interesting but stretched the bounds of credibility. Good fun and worthwhile.

An hugely sugarcoated royal affair. Young Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret goes out to celebrate peace, something which really did happen on May 8th, 1945.... but not in this way. Typical princess on the town material. Cute acting. Absolutely predictable fictional story. Decent it you don't take it too seriously.

Don't take it seriously - it is silly but fun. *Recommendable... for the right audience.
