A Smile Like Yours

This movie kind of sets up a conflict, gets distracted, and comes back half an hour later; by then, two or three other conflicts are in the same boat. They forget about the pregnancy aspect for the last half hour just so that they can resolve everything else. On a basic structural level, it doesn't work. On the positive side, the side characters are surprisingly self-aware and reasonable; the fat nurse who I thought was going to be a groanworthy joke turned out to be the best thing about it.

Flat and unfocused, A Smile Like Yours aims for romantic comedy but settles for tired sitcom formula.
