As with The Pickwick Papers, the change of identities through the means of substituting ones' clothes makes up an important aspect of the story - this time, however, the consequences are more severe. A very difficult film to follow plot-wise, if you are not familiar with the source material. Unlike with The Pickwick Papers where the notice boards help a lot.
