A Thousand and One

Sloooooooooow. Good story, but told much too slow and really without much point. The trailer was much better than the movie. I kept waiting for it to go somewhere, like tell me he grew up famous. But we're left with no real satisfying ending.

The film is a raw and poignant portrayal of a mother's love and a rapidly changing New York City that continues to push out those who call it home. The performances are phenomenal, and the film's focus on emotional realism is impressive. While some may find the ending a bit rushed, it does not take away from the film's overall impact.
