Outlaws Slim Stevens and Hutch Dalton are amazed to see gold nuggets fall out of Cannonball's pockets one day in the frontier town of Crestview. They force Cannonball to reveal the location of a gold mine he has discovered. Leading vehicle for Russell Hayden and his sidekick Dub Taylor, along with the attraction of Country Music Hall of Famer Bob Wills doing a few tunes. Basic formula of Hayden coming in as the new well-meaning sheriff trying to keep the town in order during a gold rush scare. Hayden wasn't really looking as tough as his character suggested. A bit of a mess, but the mess sort of made it entertaining as they kept pf throwing fists whenever paths were crossed.
