Simply awful. This is one of the laziest, dumbest, most annoying animated movies ever made. The story is crap, the characters insufferable, the messages confused, and the songs unbearably saccharine. That the once-pretty-good Don Bluth directed this monstrosity is just another twist of the knife.

Only meant to be watched by those who still have their baby teeth, because it will give you cavities.

Quite possibly the worst animated film ever made. It's an absolute travesty that Don Bluth's name is even mentioned in the same sentence, much less that he directed the thing. I can think of not one positive thing to say about A Troll in Central Park.

Ever since I was little, this film has been a part of my collection. It is not only a tale of amazing beauty, but of resilience and learning to be yourself. I give it an A+ and a seal of approval... Any and every age should enjoy it.

This movie creeped me out as a kid. I also remember it sucking.

A bane of children's entertainment, one that only leaves stupid in its wake.

This movie is atrocious in every single way. Seriously, what happened? Don Bluth had the talent, so how in the world did we end up with a movie that's as dumb as this?

In Gnorga the Troll Queen's eternal words, I guess "it's simply yummy to be so crummy" says it all. Sub par even for Bluth.

Absolutely abysmal...this movie really has no saving grace. Do not watch this after "The Land Before Time"...because it's just depressing to see Don Bluth sink so low.

Mindless fluff. Come on Don Bluth, this was just awful. Just awful. Weak story, cutesy nonsense, and unappealing characters.

I saw it as a kid. A bit preachy, and there are scenes that I still skip past when watching it. Some of the songs are not too bad.

I fondly remembered this movie until I rewatched it with cynical, adult eyes.

This came out in the same year as The Lion King.

A tediously boring infantile animated short, padded out to feature length with all the secondhand saccharine charms of a half-eaten lollipop found in the toys' section of a "Goodwill".

What an odd movie. It feels like it had about three scenes and no real arc; what did Stanley learn? What did the kids learn? How was the troll world changed because of what Stanley did? For that matter, how much of the movie actually *happened*; in several sequences, characters show off their dreams, and I can't tell if this is a metaphor or an illusion or reality warping or what, and as for New York City covered in green... But there's some really nice animation here, and fun visuals, anyway.
