...A Valparaíso

Consistently pretty pictures, often unnecessary narration. It's a decent travelogue of an intriguing place but I don't get why we discuss it here with together with the real films?

Rather interesting travelogue of sorts, with a little history and a little humanity and a nice soundtrack.

This is about as much surrealism as I can take. Intelligent and surprising.

Real life can be more surreal than art.

No chance of dissapointment in an Ivens and Marker colloboration. The small propagandistic part does not bode well with the rest of the work, but still it is poetry. Valparaiso is a nice town, but Marker's writing is nicer.
