A Very Long Engagement

Jean-Pierre Jeunet works his magic once again. Perhaps the only movie I've ever seen where it made my top 10 before the credits. Easily one of my favorite movies, and also one of my favorite romances.

Stunningly gorgeous on both accounts of love and war. The duality of the themes drives this movie into greatness, even if it is a bit overlong and convoluted. The ending is perfect.

A beautiful love story with incredible imagery and the beautiful Audrey Tatou.

This film is definitely worth watching. I am usually not one for love stories but this film was still spectacular.

Combines the magic of Amélie with the horrors of WW1 in a perfect-looking lovestory.

Another great movie from Jeunet. His "Amelie" is unforgettable masterpiece. "...Engagement" suprised me with its plot. It was expected to see war cruelties but at the end film avoided war themes as much as possible and it makes this movie totally enjoyable.
