She may have been a wicked woman but she wasn't an evil one. The acting and direction here are top notch and Katsuko Wakasugi was enthralling as the lead. The story and characters are multilayered and well balanced and the director didn't seem to try and push an opinion on the view. A great watch, I'll be checking out more from both Nobuo Nakagawa & Katsuko Wakasugi.
