Le cinéma Français... dans sa forme la plus... Française (sans nudité, c'est déjà pas mal). Pour le sourire sublime de Laura Calamy.

The french are so good at giving you a hopeless, stressful time at the movies. This made me reflect on how much lives are affected when a cog in the lively machine that is a big city is broken, and it's quite unsettling to realize we're always a hair away from total chaos that affects you on a personal level

This is a perfect portrayal of a horrible week we all experience where everything that can go wrong goes wrong.

Gripping, often disturbing -- the depiction of stressful, anxiety-inducing situations feels so realistic -- and quite precise portrait of a single mom trying to make it in late capitalism while French is on national strike. Trials, hardships and one final victory lap. Great finale.

A critique of the rat race, in particular the hectic struggle for survival faced by a single mother beaten down the ladder by the faltering economy, to a job she is overqualified for. The only clear antagonist is unbridled capitalism - no single character is implicated - and though Julie's days are rife with misfortunes, none of them seem implausible. It's so one-trick that it sacrifices depth and feels manipulative to an extent. Still, it was good enough to get me on board.

"Full Time" may have some narrative shortcomings, but it is still an engrossing character study with a captivating lead performance and immersive atmosphere. The film delivers a satisfying emotional ride that is well worth the investment.

Uncut Gems for jewelleries, Requiem For a Dream for drugs, Bad Genius for exams and Full Time for single parenting & work. This film will make you anxious from beginning to end like those other movies mentioned. Something that seems like an everyday life and yet, you feel extremely nervous watching the character goes through the things they have to go through.

Reminded me a bit of "The Pursuit of Happyness" but without the homelessness part. To think there are really people struggling like this.

A truely grand performance by Calamy, but unlike her character on screen, she gets a lot of help: sounddepartment, OST, directing, editing and supporting acting delicately stage and carry her isolated battle with herself.
