Abandoned

I'm sorry to report Miss Murphy's final screen performance had to be in a lackluster made-for-cable thriller that borrows heavily from several other missing-person conspiracy flicks. The poor production values, terrible performances, and seen-it-all before plot twists make 'Abandoned' entirely insignificant and disposable. Sadly, even Murphy seems tired throughout the whole thing.

Well I just love to see Brittany Murphy in movies, but this movie was not especially well written. It plodded along for quite a long time before getting to the action at the end. Still Brittany was excellent despite the obvious problems with the plot and lack of creativity in the writting. For some reason I especially disliked the psychiatrist scenes and feel all of that could have left on the cutting room floor. Editing or rewrites would have helped alot.
