|
A close relative of cop movies like Lethal Weapon and Beverley Hills Cop, this film is another episode in that saga of evil 80s bad guys you barely care about, and rowdy heroes who always pull through. In this one the characters are memorable; the plot is not. Weathers looks the part as a tough guy, but his role is a little thin. We get a bit too much Vanity and not enough Sharon Stone. The stunt sequences are meaty and loud, but not exactly classics of the genre - much like the film as a whole.

Carl Weathers is delicious, a pleasure to watch him for any amount of time (shirtless of course). Craig R. Baxley is responsible for two fantastic action films: I COME IN PEACE (wif Dolph Lundgren) and the mullety masterpiece STONE COLD (wif Brian Bosworth). These are fantabulously entertaining films, this is just okay.
