After her snobby schoolmates accidentally send her into a coma, poor little Kathy has only one way to get even--with her mind! Eva, another schoolgirl, falls under the spell of Kathy's vengeful psyche, which is capable of horrible destruction using telekinesis and even killer snails to do her bidding. Soon the hallways at St. Mary's School are filled with screaming, and there's no way to escape. (DVDSPOT)

I got a whole bunch of snails and cheap garbage film stock let’s make some well, garbage! Ah, Fulci you diabolical. Only you would have naked girls covered in snails set to ridiculous guitar riffs and still leave us disappointed.

What is it with Italian horror directors and all-girl schools? It's an obsession. Obviously all the students look about twenty years old. Typical lunacy from Fulci, with some decent ideas (and bizarre deaths) let down a bit by some shaky execution and general incoherence. Probably best avoided by those suffering from molluscophobia. Is there a phobia in respect of bad acting?

Scrumptiously dated, but just not quite crazy enough to live up to other 80's Italian horror. Aenigma might have killer snails, but Fulci himself has done better. It's hard to top a zombie vs. shark fight scene, but even I could have told you, snails wouldn't cut it.

Bonkers setpieces, hardcore 80s aesthetic, and Fulcis flair - a great piece of madness for fans of the genre and decade.... Excessive, wild, let me say bonkers again..I'm just stupid excited about aenigma

Not very good. Even by Lucio Fulci standards!

Some cool set pieces can't save this nonsensical boring mess of a film.

Feels like a made-for-tv Fulci film. Like, way too batshit for tv, but far too boring & by-the-numbers for Fulci. There's a really tame scene of a girl being devoured alive by snails. How many movies can you say that about.

I would call this Fulci's attempt at entering the teen horror subgenre that boomed in the 80's, but unfortunately I wouldn't call it his best work. Unmemorable, nonsensical, & kind of boring for a movie with this plot, it plays like a mashup of seven or eight different scripts that were haphazardly jammed together. None of the scenes make any sense, none of the characters are worth investing in, & even the kills are meh by Fulci film standards. Not a single eye gouging, either.

Carrie if it was at a boarding school. Some good kills, a bit silly though.

Enigma do Pesadelo estreava há 35 anos na França. Amo o Fulci, mas assim não dá pra te defender, migo. Muito, mas muito genérico de Carrie, nem parece o Fulci que a gente conhece cheio de obras-primas. Box Versátil Obras-primas do Terror: Horror Italiano.
