As a believer in human rights, and women's rights in particular, I found this quite frustrating and hard to watch. It wasn't the most well-made documentary, I felt, but its content is certainly interesting enough to watch.

A conventionally told but interesting glimpse at a culture on a tiughtrope between the modern and the medieval.

Competent documentary on a fascinating subject.

It's an intriguing look at a country I knew very little about, but it also seems to have no clear vision of what it really wants to say. None of the contestants ever emerge as real, three dimensional people, so you never really end up caring who wins and loses.
