The jilted husband was just too perfect, and everyone's emotions seemed so tightly controlled it felt unreal. I was surprised by how lightly it brushed past infidelity.

Hard working publisher Paul Lukas loses his spoiled wife (Madge Evans) to Ralph Forbes, and it ends in a custody battle over their child when the new mother-in-law wants a grandchild. Decent drama, but hardly a great classic. Just a basic feel-good story with some hardship along the way. The kid David Holt does his soppy bit alright and old granny May Robson was the show stealer. Lucas was a little too bland, but I guess that goes with being the straight good guy in such a story.
