Aimy in a Cage is a film consumed by its aggressive pursuit of a chaotic, Jeunet-esque aesthetic that it not only descends into nonsense but first gleefully alienates (& irritates) its audience. With notions of a pandemic, familial hierarchy & expectations, and complete societal collapse; alongside themes of mental health, it ends up being rather pointless. I'm a fan of Allisyn from AP Bio, but none of the acting is good, and is made worse by choice of unsynced sound editing. Merely a curiosity.
