With all the colourful characters in the world of competition air guitar, this was always going to be an entertaining documentary with plenty of rocking moments. The film-makers did a good job of following the American performers but could have taken more footage at the world championships. Even at 75 minutes it felt like there was only just enough material to keep this interesting. Fortunately though, they kept it short, sweet, and rocking. Made me want to get up and join in the fun.

Part of the time you're laughing because this phenomenon seems obviously ridiculous, but at other parts you're in awe because not only do these folks take it seriously but some of them are actually really excellent performers. Overall, it's extremely entertaining.

It's kind of cool in a weird way. It seems a bit ridiculous, but you can't really hate on the guys for having fun.

"Air Guitar Nation plays less like a feature-length documentary than it does a poorly thrown together behind-the-scenes supplement to the real thing." - Rob Humanick

Yes it appears this is an actual, real event. This is a funny film about a ridiculous activity. The people are funny and they are interesting to follow throughout the entire duration of this movie.

A testimonial to the power of Hello Kitty! A well-paced competition documentary that thankfully avoids the underdog cliches. Also: on the DVD, be sure to watch the extra footage of Bjorn Turoque having lunch with his mom and grandmother.

This would be the best mockumentary of all time...except it's real!
