As a young adult, Neil (Prithviraj) had an overbearing mother, Margaret (Sheela), who complained about Neil's carefree ways & worried about finding a groom for Neil's gimpy & introverted sister Rose (Geethu Mohandas). Neil had brought home a friend, Freddy Evans (Tom George), to be introduced to Rose, but learning that Freddy was already engaged, saddens Rose & over time, she became more withdrawn & loses her sanity.
