Alex Strangelove

Ennesimo film per adolescenti con l'etero che si scopre gay. Passabile, ma sul tema in giro c'è molto di meglio

Better humor, and more realistic than Love, Simon, but I preferred the latter’s focus. This film tends to focus a ton on Alex’s relationship with women, as opposed to him finding himself. It works for the most part but drags on a bit too much (although that’s probably the point). Still very enjoyable with great pacing, and solid characters.

Dumb fun. More interesting than Love Simon

This is what I was expecting from 'Love, Simon' and didn't get, so I'm glad I got it from 'Alex Strangelove'.

I'm still not convinced Alex simply doesn't just have a case of Asperger's. The subject of teen sex is weird and uncomfortable but this film handles it with honesty and tact. Very little stood in the way of this being a good film, but what does is glaringly hokey. The acting is equally hit or miss.
