Alias French Gertie (1930)
Bebe Daniels plays a safecracker posing as a French maid in order to gain access to wealthy homes. In the midst of a nocturnal search for a cache of valuables, Daniels is interrupted by Ben Lyon, another safecracker. Narrowly escaping arrest, Bebe and Ben decide to pool their talents, but Bebe gets the urge to reform and encourages Ben to do the same. As it turns out, both thieves are swindled out of their own savings by a seemingly benign old couple. (allmovie.com)

A crime softy with Ben Lyon & Bebe Daniels. Two crooks considering going straight only to get their hand bitten when trying. Always near by is gentle copper Robert Emmett O'Connor trying to steer them right. Yeah, this is very soft. Too soft. But there is some charm in that. Quirky early sound production with variable timing. More a easy to digest curio where Daniels came across sweet then anything remarkable.
