This was a very enjoyable western, especially one that came out in the thirties. IMO, westerns in the thirties were a pretty weak breed of movies. They were short quick and pretty much had the same story and most cast members played the same ones time after time. This was a little different. It had a decent story and the judge in this movie was pretty hilarious to add some goodness to this film. The villain was excellent and there were some scenes that had my attention.

One of the better Robert N. Bradbury/Bob Steele 'B' westerns. And that credit goes to two characters. Buck Connors as Bob's deaf parter and Robert McKenzie as the judge. Steele is alright too, but it's thanks to those two that this became more then just another bland Bob Steele vehicle. That court room scene brought the laughs and because of Connors' ability to read lips we got closer to knowing the man a bit better then we usually would in such a basic movie.
