Flawed "fraud out of kindness" storyline, as a husband hires a waitress to pretend to be their long lost daughter to save his wife from dying of sorrow. In a way I liked the so-called good guys in the story. Nice and mellow with a few ticks. The rest felt even more forced. Doesn't stop Alias Mary Dow (1935) from being a fairly pleasant movie.
