SPOILER- This movie just doesn't make any sense. I can believe that there were pockets of slavery in the south in the 20th century. Someone escaping that, her culture shock, and the need for vengeance have great potential. But it wouldn't happen like this, you just don't jump from the mid-19th century and go to coffee shops to confront your slavers the next day. By trying to bridge a sober film on slavery and a 70s Blaxploitation one, they ruined both venues and ended up with an unwatchable mess

While Keke Palmer’s performance is a standout, “Alice” ultimately falls short in delivering on its promising concept. The rushed pacing and lack of depth leave the film feeling underdeveloped and lacking in emotional impact.
