Disney hops on the WWI nostalgia trend. Mass enlistment, trench warfare, a cast iron stove in lieu of an early tank, a head being blown off by a cannonball (take that, Glory), and everything patchable thanks to the miracles of cartoon battlefield surgery. Now, Felix was starring in this sort of setting during the War, but Julius the Cat always one to follow behind in his footsteps.
