Another movie that I found myself pleasantly surprised with. I really enjoyed the fact that this was an homage to the science fiction genre of the 50's as those were movies I enjoyed. It had the same cheesy looking creature, cheesy story and it even had a cheesy message at the end reminiscent of those kinds of movies. But the thing that really surprised me was how funny this film could be. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the lines, especially the line at the end about the pipe.

Trudno ocenic film, ktory celowo jest kiczowaty poprzez stylizacje na kino sf lat 50-tych, ale co tu duzo mowic - podobalo mi sie :-) Zasluguje na siodemke.

Instead of treating the films that inspired this with respect the filmmakers seemed more to be stating, Hey we love these shitty old movies. I've said this before but I am not a fan of intentionally bad films. This would've been better as a full-on parody.

Well, it certainly "pays homage" to the 50s sci-fi flicks. Is it good? not really, just too ridiculous for my liking.

A spot-on homage to 50's sci-fi B-movies, but lacks the charm of the real thing or a parody.

Throwback sci-fi flic covers a group of invading, body-stealing, one-eyed, purple, tentacled, acid-ray-gun-shooting, to funny to believe aliens in their match of conquest. Much better than expected. Just be warned, this is a 1940s-1960s type sci-fi film, that just happened to be made in 2009. It's not an homage, or a remake, or anything other than it's own film AS IF IT WAS DONE THEN.

"A pastiche of '50s sci-fi cheapies whose ambitions seem limited to providing some light entertainment for genre geeks." - Andrew Schenker

A 1950's style alien movie made in 2009 is almost nauseatingly nostalgic. The shtick is stretched pretty thin with everything so corny and hammed up. The acting is horrible, as scripted. The dialog is inane, as scripted. The cheesy monster is perfectly awful, and the alien is hidden behind a shiny silver suit. There are holes galore in the story, as scripted. All the elements of a low budget 50's B movie. It is funny to laugh at how bad it is absolutely on purpose.

Earnest tribute to 1950s drive-in movie monster flicks.

"Everything is perfected to the letter, but it lacks the oomph of homage movies like Pleasantville, or the fun irony of social satires like Fido."
