Altered Carbon: Resleeved

Derivative, but, derives from cool stuff that I like, such as Ghost in the Shell, The (Ani)Matrix, Akira, and, well, Altered Carbon the series. The animation style was odd the first few minutes, but was great for the (very many and violent) action scenes. The story turns out to be more clever than I first thought. Sometimes it's a bit *too* over the top ridiculous, like the final fight. 380% better than the entirety of "Love, Death & Robots". EDIT: ...and than the entirety of the second season.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. Now to be honest I had never even heard of the book or TV series until I watched this so I don't have a point of reference or comparison. However, it was fast-paced and fun and even though I hated the animation I thought everything else was fine.

The silliness rises exponentially scene after scene but action scenes are fun and the animation is interesting.

Not the most exciting story, and I'm not totally sold on the animation style either, but once the action gets going this actually was a lot of fun.
