Amanda Knox

Has the craftsmanship of a great documentary, including Errol Morris' Interrotron for the talking heads. We get interviews with most of the primary participants. But unlike other recent true-crime docs, we don't get a sense of great insight or great detective work. Is the real tragedy and true horror that I wanted more from this documentary? These people are real; the more boring the documentary, the better our world.

The story itself is fascinating and provides all the drama anyone could want, which is basically how it portrays the Italian legal system. A system that composes great fictions physical evidence. Unfortunately the film is unable to produce much style or emotion on its own. It just reports the facts and felt very dry to me.
