The epic failure of the American Empire (1942). A likable crew not finding the right tone, resulting in a often off-putting history lesson out west which stumbles all over the place with it's aim is off. Sure, some fun moments, it's got Leo Carrillo, Cliff Edwards & Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams joking around, and Richard Dix was always a stern actor. Didn't really warm up to Preston Foster's character, and since he was the main one stirring things up, this became a less than a agreeable affair.
