An epically disappointing film. AMUNDSEN tells the "epic" story of a man obsessed with adventure, but in a way so divorced from the man himself that you learn nothing about his thinking, drives and ambitions at all. This is a tale basically retold 3rd hand between an unknown woman (KW) (who we later learn is Amundsens "partner", yet we dont see him meeting her until much later, and see not one intimate scene between them) and his estranged brother and we are expected to care? give me wikipedia!

The biopic on Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen was a little on the cold side, but presents him as the stubborn man that he was. Overall a fairly realistic presentation. Good complimentary piece to the actual documentaries Roald Amundsen made and appeared in during the silent days to finance his adventures.
