Excellent depiction of the evolution of a sexual relationship, helped enormously by the brave, charismatic performances from Baye and Lopez. Beautiful wide-screen cinematography helps enhance the melancholic, regretful tone of the screenplay, and the explicit but tasteful sex scenes are startlingly honest in their depiction. Note: Australia's English translation of the title 'A PORNOGRAPHIC AFFAIR' seems far more appropriate than 'AN AFFAIR OF LOVE'; do these people really *love* each other?
