As the half hour mark passes, you still don't get it. Did you misinterpret that Paxton review? What's the big deal? But you keep watching. Hippies. Music. Dancing. Suddenly, black and white death. Car rides, a market. The heat, the maniacal laughter, the goat. Butt-shots. The island. Soundless dancing. Time slows down. Sharks. Freedom becomes a prison. Fear. Anger. And in those final minutes... understanding. The shells fall from your eyes. You see it all. Glorious, glorious madness. Forever.

SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! The spoiler is your life from this moment on. You've found this review and now you know. You know about this movie, and you're just sitting there. It's out there, it can be found, it can be yours. It doesn't matter how much money you make, what shoes you wear or how many times you've been laid. The fact that you haven't seen this movie makes you uncool. A real bummer, man.

Its trailer might be the best trailer ever made; those three minutes not only convey the plot in its entirety, but -- aside from the dizzying madness of the ending -- represent the only scenes of action or narrative consequence whatsoever. There is literally about five minutes worth of film here, padded out to 90, but those five minutes are awesome beyond words; a veritable abbatoir full of steaming cinematic offal. YOU FOOLS.

Kind of a great bad movie, ripe for Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment. Terrible dubbing--the "actors" are quite obviously not pronouncing what one hears on the soundtrack.

Well, it's certainly far out, if not spaced out. A tourist arrives in Tel-Aviv and immediately creates a hippie commune. Then a massacre happens for no reason and it turns into a giddy road movie, eventually to become a hippie Lord of the Flies. I don't know what Amos Sefer was smoking, but if you want to see what a ridiculously campy Israeli cult classic (at least since its rediscovery, after decades in obscurity) looks like, this is pretty groovy.
