An Invisible Sign isn't for everyone. If you aren't in the mood for a dark and sad -- yet still occasionally quirky and funny -- movie, then you'll want to put it aside and watch something happier or funnier. But if you're willing to invest, or if you want a movie to prove that Jessica Alba isn't deserving of all the hate (and really hasn't been for a while, in my opinion), then you'll want to give An Invisible Sign a watch. It's a good movie and it's worth the time it takes to sit through it.

It's like Roald Dahl's 'Matilda' but much worse

Garbage. The movie is filled to the brim with terrible cliches, and its attempt at both black humor and sentimentality comes off as more pathetic than effective. Not to mention our protagionist is hard to find likeable due to her non-sensical behavior which is more obnoxious than cute or endearing. I'm also going to take away a bunch of points for that god awful ending, which is some of the most contrived stupid bullshit you could ever see in a film.

"The film is a puzzling mix of sentiment, black humor, and loads and loads of nonsensical behavior." - Andrew Schenker
