Improved crosscutting (and there's an actual closeup!) but it's mostly boring. Griffith almost drove crosscutting into the ground with literally hundreds of short films he made, so most of them are going to drag. At least the techniques still work fine today.

Kinda dull and predictable, but the Gish sisters were easy on the eyes.

Some exciting parts mixed with dull and repeated scenes. There's potential here that's for sure.

This is an amazingly constructed film for 1912. The action in the climax intercuts between 3 separate locations.
