Andaz

Andaz (1949) is one that's on several classic lists as a key movie from its time, but to me there wasn't that much that made it stand-out. It's the usual love triangle which naturally turns ill-fated, with a lot of songs thrown in. There is a consistent serious tone, so Mehboob Khan got a lot of the mood right. And there was one suspenseful funny moment which had be laughing hard. The one with the cobra. So a good movie, just not one that to me elevates itself to greater heights in my eyes.
