The unlikely pairing of Sandler and Nicholson was somewhat inspired. Jack is really quite funny, and Sandler wisely gives him room to dominate proceedings as a wacko anger management therapist. Turturro is also good as a nutjob patient, but the material is weak; there are only a handful of scenes that really allow Sandler and Nicholson to shine, which is a shame because when they do (e.g. the breakfast outburst, 'I Feel Pretty' etc.) the potential was obvious. A missed opportunity.

I have a feeling that Adam Sandler ruins his movies with his own poor ideas of what would be funny to put in. There are always these weird moments in all of his movies that stick out like a sore thumb for being embarrassingly unfunny and juvenile (and usually misogynistic)

The unusual pairing of Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson produces a few laughs as expected in this familiar story chalked full of cliches. Adam Sandler fans may appreciate the film more than others as it has most of the usual beats seen in his movies.

Decent beginnings and I can almost convince myself to watch this again to see Sandler sing ''I Feel Pretty''. The ending stage makes almost all happy feelings evaporate instantly, though.

Quiet businessman Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) is mistakenly sent on an 'anger management' course. Here he comes into contact with the irritable doctor Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson). It is precisely this psychotic instructor who manages to bring out the irritation in Dave, because if anyone needs such a course, it is Rydell himself.

I recently watched Life Itself and Roger Ebert said that he loves cinema for its ability to help fellow humans empathize with each other. I've found that it really does take that ridiculous amount of effort to try to change self-hatred into self-acceptance. And so while cheesy, I applaud the attempt to try to show what it's like for those who are down on themselves. And to be very honest that final scene is uplifting to me, its inspiring to see a happy ending.

The second (and the last; I overestimated my tolerance for Adam Sandler) movie I watched in Sandler's marathon is a romantic/buddy comedy starring Sandler and Nicholson. It's a movie about growing to maturity and dealing with repressed psychological problems. The movie title - Anger Management - is very ironic, because Adam Sandler's character is actually too submissive, because he was bullied as a kid, and he needs to manage to express the anger. I didn't enjoy this film - just not funny.

It wasn't that bad, had some nice moments, but too many times I caught myself why the hell I'm still watching this. Some humor lines were not funny at all, some scenes that were supposed to be entertaining left me in complete apathy. Maybe I'll see it again, per chance I change my mind.

I have watched this movie a couple of times and it the premise of the whole movie is asinine. I really think it impairs my enjoyment of the whole movie. I think the acting in the movie was pretty good. Adam Sandler plays himself. Jack Nicholson, being a much more versatile actor, plays a version of himself. The cameos never seemed like a good fit. I just didn't think the story was funny enough for a comedy and it wasn't deep enough for any other genre either.

Sandler and Nicholson are surprisingly funny when you put them in a film together. Besides, the story was engaging and it didn't resort to such stupid jokes. I would watch this again because it was so entertaining - and Sandler wasn't this raving, stupid character that I was led to believe in. He's much cuter when he's socially awkward. I also never thought Nicholson was going to be just as funny if he was put next to him, but he totally managed it.

Nothing great, but it has some funny parts. Sandler and Nicholson seem to have decent chemistry and are trying to have fun. It's too bad this has one of the worst twist endings in the history of film as it really puts a dark shadow over the decent first 2/3's of the film.

I'm pretty sure this movie would have been nothing without Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Even as it is, you don't really see either of them in their prime. Overall, certain parts felt like they were trying to be the next big goofy Adam Sandler movie like we had in the 90s, but it all fell short. A lot of the plot was just really shaky and hard to swallow, which is a bad sign for a romantic comedy.

Disappointing comedy. While attempting to play off the two leads' screen and public personas, it succeds only rarely, due mainly to a weak script that takes the easy way out whenever it's offered, and by-the-numbers direction. Nicholson's obvious glee at not having to be restrained makes some scenes work on a pure comic level, while Sandler seems right at home, back in his element, after the smart comedy of "Punch-Drunk Love."
