Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson has to be one of the oddest pairings in movie history. It's all right but goddamn that ending sucks.

Just awful; not even Jack Nicholson can save this embarrassing trainwreck of a movie (which roughly marks the point when I started to really dislike Adam Sandler).

Few good laughs, but for the most part, the movie annoyed me. I needed some anger management after viewing this film! ::rim shot:: (I'm ashamed at myself for writing that, and even more so because I'm choosing to leave it).

Decent beginnings and I can almost convince myself to watch this again to see Sandler sing ''I Feel Pretty''. The ending stage makes almost all happy feelings evaporate instantly, though.

The Adam Sandler formula - take a perfectly serviceable movie and add stupid quirks that you use in *every* one of your movies. I wanted to like it, but NOBODY FUCKING ACTS LIKE THAT. IT'S NOT FUNNY. AT ALL.

The unusual pairing of Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson produces a few laughs as expected in this familiar story chalked full of cliches. Adam Sandler fans may appreciate the film more than others as it has most of the usual beats seen in his movies.

I have a feeling that Adam Sandler ruins his movies with his own poor ideas of what would be funny to put in. There are always these weird moments in all of his movies that stick out like a sore thumb for being embarrassingly unfunny and juvenile (and usually misogynistic)

The unlikely pairing of Sandler and Nicholson was somewhat inspired. Jack is really quite funny, and Sandler wisely gives him room to dominate proceedings as a wacko anger management therapist. Turturro is also good as a nutjob patient, but the material is weak; there are only a handful of scenes that really allow Sandler and Nicholson to shine, which is a shame because when they do (e.g. the breakfast outburst, 'I Feel Pretty' etc.) the potential was obvious. A missed opportunity.

There's a few amusing parts, but most other sequences drag the whole back down. The clashes between Nicholson and Sandler are intermittently entertaining on occasion, but most of the time it seems to have been pieced together from rejected content.

A movie in which Jack Nicholson does his thing so that he can pay for his front row seat at the annual academy awards. Adam Sandler in an exceelent role that fits his usual style well, he plays the underdog everyman we have come to love. This movie is all about his going through Anger Management, but the ending is a weak deus ex machina-- so since this is just a comedy with no aspirations to a higher art form (and it doesn't need to be) and sometimes fails, a slightly less than perfect score.
